The Northeast Carpenters Health Fund’s participation in the Level Care Health Consortium has proven to be an enormous benefit to both the administration of the Fund as well as to the participants of the plan. Administrative plan savings of more than $4 million per year have not only been a financial benefit to the Fund, but participating in the Level Care Health Consortium has allowed the roll out of multiple member focused benefit improvements. By leveraging the buying power of the consortium we have been able to offer our participants additional benefits at better rates than we would have been able to secure on our own. These benefits include dental coverage, vision coverage, and telehealth benefits.  In addition the Fund has been able to secure a more favorable subrogation vendor contract through the consortium which provides greater recovery dollars for the fund. The Deerwalk data warehouse which is available through participation in Level Care Health Consortium will allow us to be proactive in helping our members live healthier lives by identifying gaps in care as well as care management through data integration from multiple sources.  The Level Care Health Consortium has allowed the Fund to implement a variety of different vendors and benefit updates on time and without any member disruption due in part to the professional implementation teams and coordination between the Fund, the consortium and the vendors. The Northeast Carpenters Health Fund looks forward to the growth of the consortium and the ability to leverage both the future savings as well as the benefits of working with a variety of benefit funds in the future.
